Kodak Film Walkabout with Tim Ryugo
Calling all you Kodak film photographers - we have an exciting event coming up you will want to join us for! We will be hosting a Film Walkabout on Saturday, July 13th. What better way to spend a Saturday morning than rubbing elbows (and trading rolls of film) with other film photographers who share your excitement and passion for analog photography!
But it gets even better as we will be joined by none other than Tim Ryugo. Tim has been a passionate film photographer since 1972 when he picked up a Yashicamat TLR and he has worked for Kodak since 1979 (ask him about the development of Kodak Disc film if you get a chance, he has stories). In his tenure at Kodak, Tim has worn many hats but one thing he has done consistently and passionately throughout his career is advocate for the film photography community and to participate in it at a personal level whenever he can. This is an opportunity to hang out with a really cool guy that you won’t want to pass up.
The plan is to meet up at Blue Moon Camera and Machine at 10am, stock up on supplies (Kodak film, of course) and then walk through the neighborhood down to the St. Johns Bridge. Trust us when we say there are few better places in the city to burn a roll of film than this iconic bridge. We will have some fun stuff to give away and participants will have the chance to buy Kodak film at a event-only discounted rate!
***Bring a roll of film for our Kodak film swap. Fresh or expired, everyone who brings a roll of Kodak film can participate in Film Swap prior to leaving on our walkabout.***
This event is open to all skill levels, be you a seasoned veteran or bringing your first film camera with its first roll of film. We hope to see you all there!
