Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day - April 28th, 2024

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day

April 28, 2024

Location: Westmoreland Park, 7530 SE 22nd Ave, Portland, OR 97202
Meet by the Hall Pond near the central section of the park.

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Come join Blue Moon Camera's Arthur Ruckle on a walk through Southeast Portland's Westmoreland Park while you try your hand at the world's oldest form of photography and celebrate Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.

If you're new to pinhole photography, come learn about the cameras that are easy to learn, use and, with just a little bit of training, can help photographers make alluring and timeless images. If you've used or made pinhole images in the past, come share your cameras and insight. All experience levels are welcome!

Arthur will have a small selection of cameras and film for you to borrow, otherwise feel free to BYOP (Bring Your Own Pinhole). His pinhole photography knowledge and dad jokes will be free.

Each attendee will be given a coupon for a roll of film to be processed and scanned at Blue Moon Camera and Machine free of charge! If you find an image you'd like to share, the website for the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day has a portal to upload images to be shared with the world!

The event is free, but is limited to eight participants. Unlike previous years, there will not be organized food and drink at the event, but there will be a casual meet, drink, eat, and chat session at a local establishment after the walk in the Westmoreland neighborhood.

To sign up, please fill out this short (only two questions!) form.
